# CHL vs Needuum

The clearest difference is rating: Needuum at 5.0 against CHL's 2.6. Needuum also leads on ads (none vs shown). CHL's advantage is ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. CHL sells 39 one-off in-app purchases and Needuum sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 6 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Needuum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHL has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CHL ships an update every 3 months, Needuum every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
