# Nutrisense vs MyFreeStyle

The clearest difference is rating: Nutrisense at 4.3 against MyFreeStyle's 2.8. Nutrisense also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (4.3K vs 59). MyFreeStyle's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nutrisense holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nutrisense has 4.3K ratings behind it against 59, so its average is the more settled of the two. Nutrisense ships an update weekly, MyFreeStyle every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
