# 5G Speed Test vs Internet Speedtest ٞ

The clearest difference is rating: Internet Speedtest ٞ at 4.2 against 5G Speed Test's 3.6. Internet Speedtest ٞ also leads on ratings volume (211 vs 22) and device support (4 vs 2). 5G Speed Test's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Internet Speedtest ٞ holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Internet Speedtest ٞ has 211 ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of 5G Speed Test's written reviews are positive against 50% of Internet Speedtest ٞ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

5G Speed Test ships an update every 2 months, Internet Speedtest ٞ every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
