# NFC Tag Manager vs AmiiBoss

The clearest difference is update cadence: NFC Tag Manager at every 9 days against AmiiBoss's monthly. NFC Tag Manager also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.5). AmiiBoss's advantage is ratings volume (669 vs 164) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NFC Tag Manager sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and AmiiBoss sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NFC Tag Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 164 and 669 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of NFC Tag Manager's written reviews are positive against 69% of AmiiBoss's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NFC Tag Manager ships an update every 9 days, AmiiBoss monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
