# VOO vs Wemax

The clearest difference is rating: Wemax at 2.9 against VOO's 2.3. Wemax also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 31) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). VOO's advantage is ratings volume (68 vs 20). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VOO sells 31 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Wemax asks for nothing beyond the download.

Wemax holds the better App Store score, 2.9 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 68 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 3% of VOO's written reviews are positive against 0% of Wemax's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VOO ships an update every 4 months, Wemax every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
