# Eos Remote vs Stair Calculator

The clearest difference is monetization model: Stair Calculator at free with in-app purchases against Eos Remote's subscription. Stair Calculator also leads on ratings volume (740 vs 50). Eos Remote's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 21%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Eos Remote sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Stair Calculator sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Eos Remote holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stair Calculator has 740 ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two.
