# Stash vs Forum

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Forum at none against Stash's 4. Forum also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 78%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Stash's advantage is ratings volume (586 vs 4). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stash sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Forum asks for nothing beyond the download.

Forum holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stash has 586 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Stash's written reviews are positive against 100% of Forum's.

Stash ships an update every 2 weeks, Forum every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
