# Dog Assistant vs Dogito

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dogito at none against Dog Assistant's 9. Dogito also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). Dog Assistant's advantage is ratings volume (796 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dog Assistant sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Dogito asks for nothing beyond the download.

Dogito holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dog Assistant has 796 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Dog Assistant's written reviews are positive against 67% of Dogito's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dog Assistant ships an update every 2 months, Dogito every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
