# HTC TV MAX vs Hub TV App

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Hub TV App at 40% against HTC TV MAX's 23%. HTC TV MAX's advantage is rating (3.1 vs 2.8) and update cadence (every 3 months vs every 8 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

HTC TV MAX holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 18 and 6 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of HTC TV MAX's written reviews are positive against 40% of Hub TV App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

HTC TV MAX ships an update every 3 months, Hub TV App every 8 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
