# Screen Recorder vs Screen Recorder · Video Editor

The clearest difference is ads: Screen Recorder at none against Screen Recorder · Video Editor's shown. Screen Recorder also leads on ratings volume (35K vs 6) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Screen Recorder · Video Editor's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 30%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Screen Recorder sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Screen Recorder · Video Editor sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Screen Recorder holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Screen Recorder has 35K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 30% of Screen Recorder's written reviews are positive against 50% of Screen Recorder · Video Editor's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Screen Recorder ships an update every 2 weeks, Screen Recorder · Video Editor every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
