# ClayShare vs Etchr

ClayShare and Etchr both sit at 4.9 stars, but that hides the real split: 99% of ClayShare's written reviews are positive against 40% of Etchr's. ClayShare also leads on ratings volume (678 vs 43). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClayShare sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Etchr sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $130.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ClayShare against 4.8 for Etchr. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ClayShare has 678 ratings behind it against 43, so its average is the more settled of the two. Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
