# ClayShare vs Twisted Clay

The clearest difference is monetization model: Twisted Clay at free against ClayShare's subscription. ClayShare's advantage is ratings volume (678 vs 30). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ClayShare sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month and Twisted Clay sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for ClayShare against 5.0 for Twisted Clay. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ClayShare has 678 ratings behind it against 30, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 99% of ClayShare's written reviews are positive against 100% of Twisted Clay's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
