# Double Camera vs Dual Camera

Double Camera and Dual Camera both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 75% of Dual Camera's written reviews are positive against 32% of Double Camera's. Double Camera's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Double Camera sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Dual Camera sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Double Camera against 4.6 for Dual Camera. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Double Camera has 1.7K ratings behind it against 79, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 32% of Double Camera's written reviews are positive against 75% of Dual Camera's.

Double Camera ships an update every 9 days, Dual Camera every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
