# SHIFT vs Named

The clearest difference is ads: SHIFT at none against Named's shown. Named's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SHIFT ships an update fortnightly, Named every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
