# Kidos vs Safe Browser

The clearest difference is rating: Safe Browser at 4.4 against Kidos's 4.0. Safe Browser also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Kidos's advantage is ratings volume (1.6K vs 12). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kidos sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Safe Browser sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Safe Browser holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kidos has 1.6K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kidos ships an update every 5 weeks, Safe Browser every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
