# Book Tracker vs BookNote

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Book Tracker at 746 against BookNote's 23. BookNote's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Book Tracker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and BookNote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Book Tracker against 4.8 for BookNote. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Book Tracker has 746 ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 93% of Book Tracker's written reviews are positive against 100% of BookNote's.

Book Tracker ships an update every 5 weeks, BookNote every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
