# Tiimo vs TextMate

The clearest difference is review sentiment: TextMate at 100% against Tiimo's 48%. TextMate also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). Tiimo's advantage is ratings volume (21K vs 1) and chart position (#166 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tiimo sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $7.00 per month and TextMate sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TextMate holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tiimo has 21K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Tiimo's written reviews are positive against 100% of TextMate 's.
