# Mechanical Dictionary vs Eng Mechanics

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Eng Mechanics at none against Mechanical Dictionary's 4. Eng Mechanics also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (4.8 vs 4.4). Mechanical Dictionary's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 75%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mechanical Dictionary sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Eng Mechanics asks for nothing beyond the download.

Eng Mechanics holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 4 respectively.
