# Cloud Battery vs Reality Dice

The clearest difference is rating: Reality Dice at 5.0 against Cloud Battery's 4.0. Reality Dice also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). Cloud Battery's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cloud Battery sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Reality Dice sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reality Dice holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cloud Battery has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cloud Battery ships an update every 2 months, Reality Dice every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
