# iCalibre vs Novelful

The clearest difference is price: Novelful at Free against iCalibre's $4.99. Novelful also leads on rating (2.2 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 50 months). iCalibre's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (25% vs 7%). On ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Novelful is free to download; iCalibre costs $4.99 up front. Novelful sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. iCalibre asks for nothing beyond the download.

Novelful holds the better App Store score, 2.2 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Novelful has 61 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of iCalibre's written reviews are positive against 7% of Novelful's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iCalibre ships an update every 50 months, Novelful every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
