# KIXMIX vs Kara

The clearest difference is update cadence: Kara at every 3 days against KIXMIX's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KIXMIX sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Kara sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KIXMIX ships an update every 2 weeks, Kara every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and August 14, 2026 respectively.
