# TaskHero vs PlaceLedger

The clearest difference is ads: PlaceLedger at none against TaskHero's shown. PlaceLedger also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). TaskHero's advantage is ratings volume (39 vs 3) and update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TaskHero sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and PlaceLedger sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PlaceLedger holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TaskHero has 39 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TaskHero ships an update every 6 days, PlaceLedger fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
