# TaskHero vs MainQuest

The clearest difference is ads: MainQuest at none against TaskHero's shown. TaskHero's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TaskHero sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and MainQuest sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TaskHero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TaskHero has 41 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

TaskHero ships an update weekly, MainQuest every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
