The clearest difference is monetization model: Calligraphy Practice · Cursive at free with in-app purchases against Tayasui Calligraphy's subscription. Calligraphy Practice · Cursive also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.3). Tayasui Calligraphy's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 32%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Both are free to download. Tayasui Calligraphy sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Calligraphy Practice · Cursive sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calligraphy Practice · Cursive holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 251 and 658 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Tayasui Calligraphy's written reviews are positive against 32% of Calligraphy Practice · Cursive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
