# Geneva Moon vs MonthDay

The clearest difference is rating: MonthDay at 5.0 against Geneva Moon's 3.7. MonthDay also leads on monetization model (free vs paid) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Geneva Moon's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (97 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MonthDay holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Geneva Moon has 97 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 49% and 50% positive.

Geneva Moon ships an update every 2 days, MonthDay every 6 months. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
