# Boldswitch vs Cleva App

The clearest difference is rating: Cleva App at 4.7 against Boldswitch's 3.3. Cleva App also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 19). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cleva App holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cleva App has 1.5K ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Boldswitch's written reviews are positive against 59% of Cleva App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Boldswitch ships an update every 2 weeks, Cleva App every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
