# LucidTrac vs Thunderbolt by Spaceship

The clearest difference is update cadence: LucidTrac at every 5 days against Thunderbolt by Spaceship's fortnightly. LucidTrac also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). Thunderbolt by Spaceship's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (11 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.0 for LucidTrac against 4.1 for Thunderbolt by Spaceship. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Thunderbolt by Spaceship has 11 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LucidTrac ships an update every 5 days, Thunderbolt by Spaceship fortnightly. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
