# Jazz Licks vs Stem Split

The clearest difference is price: Stem Split at Free against Jazz Licks's $12.99. Stem Split also leads on rating (4.5 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 6). Jazz Licks's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 12) and review sentiment (62% vs 30%). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Stem Split holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stem Split has 1.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Jazz Licks's written reviews are positive against 30% of Stem Split's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
