# Silli vs Character App

The clearest difference is monetization model: Silli at free with in-app purchases against Character App's subscription. Character App's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 days) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Silli sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Character App sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Silli ships an update every 9 days, Character App every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
