# CAT216B3 vs Cat® Central

The clearest difference is rating: Cat® Central at 4.6 against CAT216B3's 3.6. Cat® Central also leads on ratings volume (4.3K vs 7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). CAT216B3's advantage is iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cat® Central holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cat® Central has 4.3K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of CAT216B3's written reviews are positive against 43% of Cat® Central's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

CAT216B3 ships an update every 2 months, Cat® Central every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
