# Goaly vs Ultraviolet Chat

The clearest difference is rating: Goaly at 5.0 against Ultraviolet Chat's 4.1. Goaly also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). Ultraviolet Chat's advantage is ratings volume (713 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Goaly sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and Ultraviolet Chat sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Goaly holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ultraviolet Chat has 713 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
