# Rope Slash vs Alphabetris

The clearest difference is rating: Rope Slash at 4.6 against Alphabetris's 3.7. Rope Slash also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 78). Alphabetris's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rope Slash sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Alphabetris sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rope Slash holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rope Slash has 14K ratings behind it against 78, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Rope Slash's written reviews are positive against 50% of Alphabetris's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rope Slash ships an update every 2 months, Alphabetris every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
