# Catbus Student vs MADS

The clearest difference is rating: MADS at 5.0 against Catbus Student's 4.1. MADS also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 2 months). Catbus Student's advantage is ratings volume (9 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MADS holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Catbus Student has 9 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
