# Blocksss vs Block Sort

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Block Sort at 7.1K against Blocksss's 180. Block Sort also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). Blocksss's advantage is review sentiment (49% vs 38%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Blocksss sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Block Sort sells 20 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Blocksss against 4.8 for Block Sort. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Block Sort has 7.1K ratings behind it against 180, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of Blocksss's written reviews are positive against 38% of Block Sort's.

Blocksss ships an update every 6 weeks, Block Sort fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
