# AKASO GO vs Hightag

The clearest difference is rating: AKASO GO at 4.5 against Hightag's 3.8. AKASO GO also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 13). Hightag's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 29%) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AKASO GO holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AKASO GO has 15K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of AKASO GO's written reviews are positive against 50% of Hightag's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AKASO GO ships an update monthly, Hightag every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
