# Labscope vs Rayyan

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Labscope at 100% against Rayyan's 37%. Rayyan's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.4) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Labscope sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Rayyan sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Rayyan holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 23 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Labscope's written reviews are positive against 37% of Rayyan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Labscope ships an update every 3 months, Rayyan every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
