# Saylor Academy vs RotaryLearn

The clearest difference is rating: Saylor Academy at 4.7 against RotaryLearn's 4.2. Saylor Academy also leads on ratings volume (50 vs 5) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.5). RotaryLearn's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 43%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Saylor Academy holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saylor Academy has 50 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Saylor Academy's written reviews are positive against 67% of RotaryLearn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Saylor Academy ships an update every 9 months, RotaryLearn every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
