The clearest difference is in-app purchases: ときめきVR at none against SHOWSTAGE's 7. VR also leads on rating (3.4 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (32 vs 3). SHOWSTAGE's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SHOWSTAGE sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. VR asks for nothing beyond the download.

VR holds the better App Store score, 3.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ときめきVR has 32 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of SHOWSTAGE's written reviews are positive against 31% of ときめきVR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SHOWSTAGE ships an update every 2 weeks, VR every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
