# 3MS vs STEP

The clearest difference is update cadence: 3MS at every 11 days against STEP's every 12 months. 3MS also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

3MS ships an update every 11 days, STEP every 12 months. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
