# Tarot Pro vs Taro Reader

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Taro Reader at 60% against Tarot Pro's 0%. Taro Reader also leads on device support (4 vs 2). Tarot Pro's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.4) and ads (none vs shown). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tarot Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Taro Reader sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tarot Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tarot Pro has 67 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 0% of Tarot Pro's written reviews are positive against 60% of Taro Reader's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 27, 2026 and June 9, 2026 respectively.
