# Saal Digital vs VIEWFINDR

The clearest difference is rating: Saal Digital at 4.4 against VIEWFINDR's 3.8. Saal Digital also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ratings volume (239 vs 4). VIEWFINDR's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 60%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VIEWFINDR sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Saal Digital asks for nothing beyond the download.

Saal Digital holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Saal Digital has 239 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Saal Digital's written reviews are positive against 80% of VIEWFINDR's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Saal Digital ships an update fortnightly, VIEWFINDR every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
