# Library Notes vs Bookie

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bookie at 20 against Library Notes's 4. Library Notes's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Library Notes against 4.9 for Bookie. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookie has 20 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Library Notes ships an update every 3 months, Bookie every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
