# Calligraphy Guidelines vs Grafika

The clearest difference is rating: Calligraphy Guidelines at 3.7 against Grafika's 2.5. Calligraphy Guidelines also leads on ratings volume (15 vs 2). Grafika's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Calligraphy Guidelines sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and Grafika sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Calligraphy Guidelines holds the better App Store score, 3.7 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Calligraphy Guidelines has 15 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Calligraphy Guidelines's written reviews are positive against 67% of Grafika's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Calligraphy Guidelines ships an update every 3 months, Grafika fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
