# altHR vs LOYAR

The clearest difference is rating: altHR at 5.0 against LOYAR's 3.5. altHR also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.6). LOYAR's advantage is ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

altHR holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LOYAR has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

altHR ships an update every 3 weeks, LOYAR every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
