# 55 Messenger vs 3T

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 55 Messenger at none against 3T's 10. 55 Messenger also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). 3T's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 3T sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. 55 Messenger asks for nothing beyond the download.

55 Messenger ships an update monthly, 3T fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
