# App Lock™ vs Hide Photosㅤ

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hide Photosㅤ at freemium against App Lock™'s subscription. Hide Photosㅤ also leads on ads (none vs shown). App Lock™'s advantage is ratings volume (2.6K vs 13) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.5). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. App Lock™ sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Hide Photosㅤ sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for App Lock™ against 4.4 for Hide Photosㅤ. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: App Lock™ has 2.6K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two.
