# Ikon Pass vs RunSync!

The clearest difference is rating: Ikon Pass at 4.7 against RunSync!'s 3.7. Ikon Pass also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (28K vs 6). RunSync!'s advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (25% vs 13%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Ikon Pass holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ikon Pass has 28K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Ikon Pass's written reviews are positive against 25% of RunSync!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ikon Pass ships an update every 9 days, RunSync! every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 18, 2026 respectively.
