# Ikon Pass vs Squad XI

The clearest difference is monetization model: Squad XI at free against Ikon Pass's free with in-app purchases. Squad XI also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Ikon Pass's advantage is ratings volume (28K vs 2) and chart position (#117 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Squad XI holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ikon Pass has 28K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ikon Pass ships an update every 2 weeks, Squad XI every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
