# TryitFree vs Collabstr

TryitFree and Collabstr both sit at 4.8 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of TryitFree's written reviews are positive against 60% of Collabstr's. TryitFree also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.6). Collabstr's advantage is ratings volume (562 vs 16). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Collabstr holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Collabstr has 562 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of TryitFree's written reviews are positive against 60% of Collabstr's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TryitFree ships an update every 3 days, Collabstr every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
