# Athletic.APP vs NinjaTrainer

The clearest difference is rating: NinjaTrainer at 5.0 against Athletic.APP's 3.7. NinjaTrainer also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). Athletic.APP's advantage is ratings volume (278 vs 3) and chart position (#106 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Athletic.APP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and NinjaTrainer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NinjaTrainer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Athletic.APP has 278 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Athletic.APP ships an update fortnightly, NinjaTrainer every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
